Shari Nakagawa was born in Nanaimo, BC. An observer by nature, she graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology in 2003. After spending three years as an English as a Second Language Teacher for children in Japan, she returned home and enrolled in photography school. She graduated from the Western Academy of Photography in 2009. Shari is currently located in Victoria.
